石雕五供及石供桌Five Ariticals of Tributes in Stone Sculpture and the Stone Alter

文物特色

位于北京大学钟亭小山的东侧。这座石雕为晚明时期的文物，包括石供桌、香炉、蜡矸和宝瓶。石供桌由上枋、束腰、下枋构成，束腰上、下有莲花瓣（八达马）图案。圭脚为云纹图案，美轮美奂。香炉上为炉盖，饰以青竹花纹，下有花卉图案。在香炉的两侧各有一个蜡矸，下有底绘，绘有云纹图案。在蜡矸的外侧各有一个宝瓶。这是一组保存比较完整和雕造精美的石五供，是陵墓的祭器，用于供奉先人，追思恩泽。可惜蜡矸和香炉部分有部分缺损，但瑕不掩瑜，仍不失其文物和艺术价值。

 

岁月变迁

2002年校方对此处景点进行了整修，在石供桌底部边缘贴了花岗岩。将原有水泥混凝土基础遮掩起来，并在五供处铺设了仿青砖铺装，既防止了水土流失，又便于游人游览观赏。至于石雕五供的来源就显得有些扑朔迷离，至今尚无确切史料可考，这无疑是北大校园景观中的一个空白。

 

Distinguishing feature

It is placed in the east of Bell Pavilion in Peking University. The carving stones are relics from late Qing Dynasty, including stone table, censer, wax gangue and aquariums. The stone table consists of upper tie beam, beam waist and lower tie beam. The waist has the picture of lotus petal. The feet are beautiful cloud design. The upper of the censer is decorated with green bamboo images, the lower is flower picture. Beside both sides of the censer is a wax gangue, with cloud picture in the bottom. Outboard the wax gangue there is an aquarium. This is a set of perfectly preserved and dedicatedly carved sacrificial utensil of tombs, used to consecrate ancestors. It’s a pity that there are defects in the wax gangue and censer, but it can’t conceal its value as relic and art.

 

History

In 2002 ,the school made some repairs to this scenic spot, they stick granite to the edge of the stone table, covering the old concrete base, which not only help to keep the soil and water but also offer convenience to the tourist. But the origin of the relic is complicated and confusing.
